Resolution No. 30
Establishing World Peace as an Essential Purpose
January 29, 2003
WHEREAS, the lack of peace in the world and the threat of war, terrorism and violence threaten the safety, well-being and progress of every individual;
WHEREAS, scientifically verified programs are now available to reduce collective stress and raise collective consciousness, the basis of world peace, including the practice by large groups of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program including Yogic Flying;
WHEREAS, peace is also based on individual health and there are natural, prevention-oriented programs to prevent disease and provide cure;
WHEREAS, pure organic food, including Vedic organic food, is a key component in creating and maintaining good health; and
WHEREAS, proper housing and community planning in accordance with the principles of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda design provide healthy housing that promotes the wellbeing of the individual and society.
NOW THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved that the creation of world peace, including the creation and support of large groups practicing the peace-creating technologies including the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Yogic Flying program; programs for prevention and cure of disease including Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health; the availability of pure organic food including Maharishi Vedic Agriculture; and proper housing and communities, built in accordance with Maharishi Sthapatya Veda design, as well as the administration and support of these programs, are essential public purposes of the City of Maharishi Vedic City..
